Eigentlich wollte ich ja dieses Jahr nach bereits sechs neuen Uhren keine weiteren Uhren in meine Sammlung integrieren, aber dann stolperte ich über diese außergewöhnliche, um nicht zu sagen exotische Uhr und war sofort "hin und weg", was bei mir nur (noch) selten passiert. Der nächste Gedanke war..........., die muß ich haben, sie wird die schrägste Uhr in meiner Sammlung sein. Ich habe mich also spontan mit dem Kleinsthersteller in Sterling/VA in Verbindung gesetzt und die Uhr bestellt. Sie wird mich im September 2023 in den Niederlanden erwarten, zusammen mit meiner bei Patek Philippe gewarteten Nautilus und meiner neuen Squale Master X Palombari del Comsubin Limited Edition MASTERGOS.

The Design
Attitude – Patriot Edition. Inspired by a pilot’s attitude meter - an instrument that can be found in an aircraft’s cockpit. This tool displays the orientation of the plane to the earth’s true horizon. Through the worst storms with zero visibility, the attitude meter won’t fail to keep the pilot oriented.

The Movement
The new Swiss-made Ronda R150 Automatic-mechanical movement contains 25 jewels with precision craftsmanship at its core. At 28,800 beats per minute (4Hz), the R150 ticks 8 times per second, has a 40-hour power reserve when fully wound, and has an average accuracy rating of +/- 12 seconds per day.
The Case
Our case is forged from 316L stainless steel. In order to obtain the ‘gunmetal gray’ look, we hard coated the case with titanium carbide PVD and bead-blasted it for increased durability and finish. The case fits comfortably on the wrist at 42.5mm wide (excluding the crown guard), 47mm lug-to-lug, and 13.1mm thick.
Water Rating
With a screw-down crown and high-quality gaskets, this model is rated and tested for depths down to 10atm/100m/330ft.
The Crystal
A durable case deserves a durable crystal. The Attitude houses a Swiss-made sapphire crystal coated with a blue-hued antireflective coating, allowing the wearer to see past the glare to see the incredible dial.
The Strap
Our watch comes with two different 20mm straps. It arrives on a brown leather strap with a stainless-steel buckle coated in matching titanium carbide PVD. An additional NATO-style nylon strap is included, also with matching hardware.
Misc.
Since our watches come with two straps, it’s only fair to include a spring-bar removal tool to help swap the straps!

The Watch-Story:
How it all began…
I’ve always loved working with my hands—tinkering, learning, and creating—and I’ve always loved a well-designed watch. But collecting watches has never been more than a hobby—at least until 2020. I work in healthcare, and it was the height of the pandemic, so I was feeling stressed by all the uncertainties regarding the virus. To give myself a distraction, I started taking apart a few of the watches I’d collected over the years. I wanted to see how they worked. Wanted to see if I could put them back together. I kept going down to my basement, disassembling and reassembling the mechanical movements, coming to understand the various functions, until it was clear that my watches had become more than just a distraction; they’d turned into a passion.
I decided to make my own watch, but I wanted it to be different from all the other watches I’d owned. It would be a gift to my father, an engineer who’s always innovated, who’s never settled for what’s already been done. But as I set out to source my components, I couldn’t find what I was looking for. What was out there felt familiar, homages to timepieces that I’d seen before, maybe even worn before.
I worked with what I could find, and by the time the watch was fully assembled, I had learned how to make my own timepiece—and I had given my father the gift I’d set out to make—this watch, although unique in its own way, created a desire to create something truly different.
Over the next year, I spent my off-hours designing and re-designing different dials, hand-sets, and cases, dreaming a new watch into being. I named the company after my grandfathers (Richard and Harvey) and built a watch that would make them proud. Richard-Harvey’s first model is called The Attitude, and it’s unlike any watch that’s ever come before it. Both Richard and Harvey were military veterans—true patriots of this amazing county they called home.
The Attitude comes in two variants, in honor of these two incredible men, The Patriot, and The Blackout. One incorporates the red, white, and blue of our nation’s flag—symbolizing their patriotism—while the other has a dark, monochromatic & tactical exterior—representing our military service.
