The former owner of the company "Point of time" (named Jürgen D.) was/ is indeed member of the ZUZ and was/is (?) related to Mrs. Schröder - so, for sure we can trust these informations of the Bergische Uhrmacherwerkstatt.

I am working for custom-investigation office in Berlin (and as well in Cologne Customs investigations Headquater (ZKA) for some time), we sometimes have co-operations with ZUZ (and i have personal contact to two ZUZ-officers ...old colleagues from Berlin) ... I can say for sure that ZUZ-officer are wearing Sinn (UX and EZM) as well as Tutima (Military TL). "THE ONE WATCH" that every ZUZ officer wears does not exist.

The reason for this is quite simple: German authoroties generaly order equipments (like uniforms, flashlights... and even watches for special forces) from the "Beschaffungsamt des Bundes". For a very long time Tutima was THE company to equip German Army and Customs with Tutima Military Chronograph (Army) / Tutima Military Chronograph TL (ZUZ). The EZM 1 with ZUZ- logoprint was only produced in a limeted edition (22 pieces for the first 22 ZUZ-officers that started in 1997). I am not quite sure wether these 22 EZM 1 were bought from the "Beschaffungsamt des Bundes" ... or were bought by the ZUZ-Officers themselves. Nevertheless - being a ZUZ -officer is a very hard job, and most of the officers started in 1997 are now (2012) no longer active member of the ZUZ. "New" ZUZ-officers were equiped with Tutima Military TL. Maybe...some years in the future another watchbrand will make it to the "Bundesbeschaffungsamt" ? Who knows...

But I will watch the TV report on Sunday - maybe we will find out something new ????

I have recently managed to get a ZUZ EZM1 to go with my Tutima ZUZ (non-logo), seller picture for now -

I'd appreciate any more information on these (although I have seen Walters excellent post on Flying-Time). I think the concept of the ZUZ was started in 1994 and it finally went into service in 1998. During this time (1995?) Lothar Schmidt met with the lead officers and the design for the EZM1 was collaborated on. The lead officers were perhaps GSG9, as ZUZ did not yet exist operationally.

Any more clarification would be great, thanks,

darf ich fragen, ob dein Exemplar denn eine Seriennummer hat? Die Modelle, um die es in den anderen Beiträgen geht (unter anderem dem von dir erwähnten auf watchtime von Walter), haben ja alle keine weißen Zeiger und sind eigentlich aus dem Jahre 2001, deine ist ja wie du sagtest aus 2004.

Ich frage, da ich selber seit kurzem stolzer(!) Besitzer einer der fünf Modelle aus der Liste bin. Vielleicht kommt dem ein oder anderen mein Nickname ja bekannt vor

vielen Dank für deine Antwort!
Die Uhr gefällt mir wirklich richtig gut, daher bin ich auch froh, den Zuschlag bekommen zu haben.
Einordnen kann ich dein Modell allerdings selbst nicht, es würde mich aber auch interessieren, welchen Hintergrund deine ZUZ hat.
Der Zustand ist ja wirklich wie brandneu.

Würde mich sehr freuen, wenn du uns hier evtl. auf dem laufenden halten könntest wenn du etwas neues rausfinden solltest.
