I added a 143 to the collection, which arrived this morning. I have been looking it over but discovered a 5100 inside. I was expecting a 5012. Is this correct, or has there been a movement exchange? And advice would be great.
Thanks in advance,
Steve.
Correct movement for a 143?

Both movements (5012 and 5100) were used in the 143. The hands and dial of this watch point to a 5012.
As with the 140/41/42, there were transitional models (old hands and dials, but new movement), but nothing dramatic.
Or, as mentioned, a simple movement swap.Regards

Thanks Lemanianer. I don’t know whether to raise a dispute with the seller as it was advertised as having a 5012 and I think the 5100 takes away from its originality. Such a shame as they don’t appear for sale too often.

Can you advise of the differences in hands and dial please?

Shorter and wider indexes on the dial. Hands fully filled with Tritium/Luminova.

Thanks again Lemanianer, I have a few watches that ask so many questions, you should probably put me on ignore! Maybe I'll limit my questions to 1 per week. But I'm here to learn, and you have been incredibly helpful.
I actually like the look of my watch more than the one pictured above. I'm thinking that maybe I should just accept that its had a movement swap so now I have the best of both worlds. It seems to be running very well and the chrono operates perfectly.
