wie hier bereits angekündigt kam nun kürzlich meine Blaue Uhr für zwischendurch mit leichtem Job Bezug, so kam ich auch zu der Uhr... 
ich weiss ist nix wirklich besonderes aber irgendwie fand ich das Projekt wie auch die Umsetzung mit der markanten Optik und dem schön blau gut!

TRIWA x SSAB is the world's first consumer product made from fossil-free steel.
The watch case is made using fossil-free steel powder from SSAB Oxelösund in Sweden. The watch comes with a recycled ocean plastic strap and a japanese quartz movement. The dial color scheme and the oversized hour markers and hands have been inspired by SSAB ́s steel production, giving the watch a unique and industrial look. Story of SSAB
SSAB, the Swedish Steel manufacturer, has a fascinating story that spans over a century and has established them as one of the leaders in the steel industry. The roots of SSAB trace back to the late 1800s when two Swedish steel companies, Fagersta Bruk and Domnarvets Jernverk, were founded. These companies played vital roles in Sweden’s industrial development, supplying steel for various applications. In 1978, these two companies merged to become SSAB, and have since then recognized the importance of sustainability and embarked on a journey to become a pioneer in this aspect of the steel industry.
The steel industry is responsible for about 7% of global CO2 emissions. With our industry's long tradition of working with steel, it feels important to be in the forefront of producing watches with less or no impact. Together with Swedish specialized steel manufacturer SSAB we are proud to have produced the world's first consumer product made with Fossil Free steel. So as a user of the watch, you won’t notice any difference, but the planet will.

Zusammenfassung:
TRIWA ist eine noch junge "Designer" Uhrenmarke aus Schweden, die sich auf die Fahne geschrieben hat, Uhren mit einem Umweltaspekt und frischem Design zu machen.
Bei dem Projekt mit SSAB zum Thema kohlenstoff-freier Stahl wurde dieser nachweislich erstmalig in einem Konsumgüter-Artikel in Form einer Uhr eingesetzt.
Andere Projekte verwenden Plastik aus den Meer für einen schicken sportlichen Bikompax-Chrono "Ocean Plastic" oder illegale sichergestellt Waffen zur Herstellung von Uhren bzw. Gehäusen und Zifferblättern für eine modische 3-Zeigeruhr "Humanium".
Die Uhrenbänder sind einfach, aber i.d. Regel auch aus recyceltem Kunststoff aus dem Meer oder Leder hergestellt.
Meines Wissens ist Triwa der einzige Hersteller, der den "carbon footprint" der Herstellung angibt, völlig nutzlos aber es passt halt gut zur Philosophie. 
Da wir gerade in der vorletztes Jahr gegründeten Firma eine innovative Vakuum-Beschichtungsanlage für die umweltschonende Stahl-Veredelung bauen, welche später bei SSAB in Schweden in die Produktion integriert werden soll, fand ich den Zusammenhang irgendwie super passend und hatte mich zunächst auf den Pre-Order-Info-Verteiler setzen lassen. Als dann die Nachricht kam dass die Uhr lieferbar ist habe ich spontan bestellt, 4 Wochen später kam die Uhr per UPS aus Schweden.
Die Uhr ist schlicht und einfach, aber gut gemacht, das Mijota-Werk nix besonders. Aber mir gefällt neben dem Umwelt-Gedanken dahinter sowie de persönlichen Bezug optisch vor allem das blaue schimmernde Zifferblatt mit den fetten Zeigern und Leuchtindices im Stil einer Taucheruhr. Mir persönlich hat die Blaue Version trotz dem einfachen Quarzwerk auch wegen dem Preis mehr zugesagt, aber ich denke auch die Automatik-Version mit dem grau galvanisierten Blatt ist auch ganz ansehnlich. Kostet aber auch dann € 679,-
