Dem breiten Stoppsekunden Zeiger nach sind es die ganz alten Zeiger der 103?

Aber ich glaube, dass die Chronozeiger nicht von der 103 stammen.

As a reply to some of you: yes, I know that some "Sinners", first of all purist dislike the personalization I did to my Arktis but I've always thought about the Arktis as the basis of one of the most beautiful Fliegerchronos: the case design and the bezel design are both very, very typical Flieger-like. The case/lug design goes back to the Mathey-Tissot/Breguet Type XX, the bezel design is a very successful medley of the Tutima/Hanhart WW2 coin-edge and the mentioned Mathey-Tissot/Breguet style, while the hands always seemed to me as too simple, too cheapish - missing any of the while laque or the polished steel frame. That's why I thought to hunt for typical Flieger hands.
The small seconds hand come from the remake of the Heuer/Sinn BW-chrono, the hours and minutes hand from the 358 while all the other hands come from the Manufaktum.
The pushers come from the Tudor (no Big Block but the later Prince Date), because I thought the original 103StSa/203 pushers being a tad "too much" for this size of watch. Waterresistance could be maintained with these pushers too and the pushers needed only minimal work by the watchmaker to fit the case.
The Fliegers used to come on different leather or nylon straps but I'm a bracelet guy so on this point I did some mix, keeping the (nice) Sinn bracelet.
Just to put here my other "gebastelt" Sinn Flieger (303 dial, 358 hours and minutes hand, 5-row bracelet, sorry for photo quality), though there should be a better place for her in the 103 St thread:

A few others will come too, as soon as I can find one on the used market - the watches that I hunt for are models that are unfortunately out of production...
And for the purists: I have all the original parts so the watches can be restored to original anytime - not in my life though

Hi Robert, thank you for the explanation about the modified Arktis watch, First time it was a no go for me but now I must say it fits well, specially the old Flieger hands are looking nice!
I dont have thought that!
Also the smooth 303 to 103 retrofit look good.

Hier geht ja mal richtig was

Wenn die Bilder nicht täuschen, hat Ingos Arktis ein deutlich dunkleres Blatt als Stefans. Das sieht man immer wieder bei der Arktis.

@ Stefan: Jetzt weiss ich auch, wie dein eiskalt-arktis-cooles Bild entstanden ist.

Schade, dass ich damals mich nicht dafür entschieden habe, als es diese noch in diesem tollen Zustand zu kaufen gab...

Heutige Exemplare bei Ebay sind oft ziemlich abgeranzt...

Stimmt die Arktis leuchtet bei jedem Licht anders und mal heller und mal dunkler!
Aber meine ist eher hellblau auch im Vergleich zur Kristall :cool:
