JA, das finde ich auch SUPER! Schwirrt mir seit dem Stammtisch ebenfalls im Kopf herum!
Aber das Band in blau hat mir der nette Sinn-Mitarbeiter letzte Woche nicht herausgeben wollen/dürfen/können! Aber das war sowieso ein etwas -nennen wir es mal- "interessanter" Mitarbeiter.
Daher hatte ich dann halt ein 'olivenes' mitgenommen...

Blaue Silis hab ich hier ja 2 rum liegen, aber dieser Preis übersteigt klar mein Verlangen nach der Uhr....

Also bei Lederbändern gibt es bei mir (fast) nur einen bevorzugten Lieferanten: Europelli in den USA, der überwiegend Horween Pferdeleder erster Qualität zu wunderbaren Armbändern verarbeitet. Nicht ganz preiswert, aber nach meiner inzwischen langjährigen Erfahrung sind diese jederzeit ihr Geld wert. Ich habe deren inzwischen ca. 50 Stück und bessere habe ich in über 30 Jahren nicht gefunden.

I've been asked many times about how a certain aspect of a handmade strap is made. How do you do this? How do you do that? How long does it take? Is it really 100% handmade?

Ultra-Premium Horween North of Cordovan Horsehide

Genuine Shell Cordovan and Chromexcel are two of the most coveted leathers available. This rare example offers the best of both worlds.

Horween Genuine Chromexcel

Exceptionally Supple and Beautiful. High-Strength Durability. The Original Pull-Up Leather, made Exclusively by Horween

Chromexcel is a leather exclusive only to Horween, and uses a proprietary recipe that was developed by them 100 years ago. 1913 to be exact. The beauty of Chromexcel extends beyond its exterior. It combines two unusual properties seldom found in one leather: High-strength durability and a buttery soft and supple hand. How does that translate into our world? It's the perfect foundation for a watch strap.

Here is a little history regarding this rare leather: Horween Chromexcel is the original pull-up leather. "Pull-up" refers to the temporary lightening of the leather within a fold, caused by the displacement of oils and waxes. It offers beautiful character, and is the result of a combination bark retannage and hot stuffing. What's required to make it? A minimum of 89 steps, 28 full working days, and the utilization of all 5 floors at Horween. Oh, and the closely guarded recipe that they've become well-known for and have used for a century.

Hinweis: ich bin weder verwandt noch verschwägert mit dem Inhaber, bekomme auch keinerlei Rabatt, sondern bin von seinen Bändern 100% überzeugt. Ich habe ihn vor Jahren durch Zufall in einem US basierten Uhrenforum gefunden. Seitdem kommen mir für sportliche Tool Watches keine anderen Bänder mehr ins Haus.

Uli, kann man in BR denn überhaupt Lederbänder tragen? Sind die nicht nach 2 Wochen kompletto durchgeschwitzt?

Hallo Martin,

die Frage ist berechtigt, aber in unserer Region mit 1260m ü.M. sind die Winter von April bis September/Oktober kühl und angenehm. Dann kann man auch Lederbänder gut tragen. Darüber hinaus sind diese Pferdelederbänder auch wesentlich robuster und Schweiß-resistenter als andere Bänder, die ich kenne. Mehr Gefahr besteht im Sommer bei unsachgemäßer Lagerung von Uhren und Bändern, das diese Schimmel bilden können. Dem ist trickreich zu begegnen, z.B. mit durch Zeitschaltuhren gesteuerten Ventilatoren im Uhren-Verließ. Das verhindert dann Schäden an den Lederbändern.

Ich gehöre leider zu den Menschen, die leicht und reichlich transpirieren, wenn das Wetter sommerlich ist. Daher ist Lederband bezogen besondere Vorsicht geboten. Aber für den Sommer habe ich reichlich Uhren mit Metall-, Silikon-, Kautschuk- oder Erika Bändern, da kann ich auf alle Uhren mit Lederbändern im hiesigen Sommer gut verzichten, auch wenn es manchmal doch schwer fällt.

Ich hatte heute Post aus Spanien.... das war eigentlich für EZM9 gedacht; aber die verweilt ja erst mal bei Sinn.
Also musst die 140 her halten....

Habe zu Deinen Mini-Bandhälften eine große Schließe gefunden, Silikon auf das letzte Loch gekürzt, und siehe da
Auch wenn sie jetzt nicht press sitzt ( trägt sich eher wie ein großer modischer Armreif ) so kippelt sie wegen der breiten Schließe überhaupt nicht.
Nochmal gut gegangen ( aber Dein Sonderpreis hätte eh keine Reue zugelassen )

Ach, ganz vergessen: traut Ihr mir zu, den SDR selbst zu wechseln, oder ist das tricky?

Nachdem ich schon gesehen habe, was du sonst so kannst, ist das ein Klacks für Dich !
Was wichtig ist:
- die Schraube auf 12Uhr bitte nicht lösen
- nimm den Schraubendreher von Sinn, der passt genau
- Schrauben nur leicht lösen, nicht komplett herausdrehen
- beim Ansetzen des Schraubendrehers aufpassen, nicht abzurutschen
