Pilotenuhr mit zwölfeckiger Lünette
Als im Jahre 1955 in Deutschland gegründete Bundeswehr auf der Suche nach einem Hersteller für die Uhren der Piloten war, erhielt der Uhrenhersteller Junghans den Zuschlag für diese und produzierte einen ganz speziellen Flieger-Chronographen. Die neue kreiierte Junghans Meister Pilot erinnert insbesondere optisch an das Modell aus den 50ern, das vor allem wegen der zwölfeckigen Lünette bis heute sehr großen Wiedererkennungswert hat. Diese beidseitig drehbare Lünette mit Minutenskala umrahmt das Zifferblatt mit arabischen Ziffern und Indexen sowie zwei Augen für die Stoppfunktion. Geschützt wird dieses von einem beidseitig entspiegelten und gewölbten und Saphirglas. Im Inneren der Uhr mit einem Durchmesser von 43,3 mm wurde ein Automatikwerk Kaliber J880.4 eingebaut, das eine Gangreserve von bis zu 38 Stunden bietet.
